[vc_section][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Since 2014, Homeside and Lower have hosted a No Shave November fundraiser, each year choosing a different cause close to our hearts. This year, with the leadership of Daniel Stich, VP – Retail Operations for Homeside, we chose to spread awareness and raise funds for dementia and Alzheimer’s research, services, and care with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA).Daniel brought this cause to the forefront based on his personal experience with dementia – see more here. Throughout the duration of this event several other staff members stepped forward and shared their personal stories of life with a loved one battling dementia and Alzheimer’s. We were incredibly moved and humbled by these stories, solidifying the importance of raising funds for the AFA.Our staff, clients, partners, and more came together in the spirit of good will, love, and giving to raise $5,545 for the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Additionally, many staff members chose to forego shaving this November in an effort to raise awareness for the cause. In a tumultuous year for many, we’re honored to be a catalyst for generosity and altruism.Homeside and Lower are proud to support the AFA and their mission, “to provide support, services and education to individuals, families and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias nationwide, and fund research for better treatment and a cure.” Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s No Shave November efforts. We truly cannot thank you enough.“2020 has been the year of the unthinkable for caregivers and individuals living with Alzheimer’s,” said Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., President and CEO of AFA. “We are extremely grateful for the support received from Homeside Financial and Lower.com during their ‘No Shave November’ campaign. Your support has enabled AFA during these challenging times to continue to fund research for better treatment and a cure for the millions of Americans living with Alzheimer’s.”For a full timeline on the history of our No Shave November efforts along with this year’s stories see http://growhomeside.com/[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section]
